SPORTAINMENT : ANTANGIN TOUR DE AMBARRUKMO 2024 EXPLORE YOGYAKARTA 145 KM
Ambarrukmo was once again organizing the annual event Antangin Tour De Ambarrukmo 2024 which was held on Saturday, July 27, 2024. A total of 1300 cyclists from inside and outside the city of Yogyakarta enjoyed the beauty of the Menoreh Kulon Progo mountains, Mount Merapi and the charm of Prambanan Temple. This year, the Antangin brand became once again the tittle event of Tour de Ambarrukmo 2024, due to the good cooperation which has been established since the first Tour de Ambarrukmo was held.
Antangin Tour de Ambarrukmo 2024 started at 05.30 WIB at Plaza Ambarrukmo with 2 categories: REGULAR ROUTE 125 KM for participants who did not want an uphill / high gradient route, with an average travel time from start to finish 5-7 hours and RACE ROUTE 145 KM for King of Mountain & Queen of Mountain participants who reached an evelation gain of 1500 meters on the 7.5 KM Kiskendo Kulon Progo Goa Race. Antangin Tour de Ambarrukmo 2024 maintained the comfort and safety of all cyclists by providing insurance cover at the event.
Race pack collection for Antangin Tour de Ambarrukmo 2024 was held at 2 locations: at the Main Atrium of Plaza Ambarrukmo, on July 24-26, 2024 from 10:00 – 22:00 WIB, and at the Race Village Area. This Race Village Area was not only used for race pack collection, but also free bike setting facilities and sponsor booths from Antangin, Smartfren, Giant Bike, Shimano, Garmin, Peloton n Co, Schwalbe, EJ Sport, UOB Bank, Askrindo, Bakpiaku, Honda Anugerah, SNP Apparel, Isoplus, & Aqua.
In addition, Ambarrukmo also served the legendary culinary of Yogyakarta for cyclists to enjoy in the Checkpoint & Finish areas, such as Gudeg Jogja, Sate Klatak, Tengkleng, Sop Empal, Jadah Tempe, Bakpia, Es Dawet, Es Beras Kencur and Es Kunir Asem – some of the complete culinary packages of Yogyakarta.
Furthermore, Antangin Tour de Ambarrukmo 2024 was the first Sportaiment Event in Yogyakarta that presented Sport & Tourism in collaboration with Entertainment activities. This could be seen from the cultural art performances of Angguk Dance at Kulon Progo Cultural Park (checkpoint 1), Ramayana Dance at Prambanan Temple (checkpoint 4) and it became even more special because there was an After Race Celebration Event to be enjoyed by the cyclists (participants) and other visitors (non participants) of Yogyakarta. It was located in the Main Atrium of Plaza Ambarrukmo enlivened by Cheerleaders Competition, Sempoaship Competition, Kids Special Performance and Guest Star Performance “Rio Febrian” on July 27, 2024 at 19.30 – 20.30 WIB.
Ambarrukmo will definitely continue to support efforts in improving the economic and tourism sectors in Yogyakarta by organizing the Antangin Tour de Ambarrukmo again next year. Please come and join us in 2025.
